ایک دن جنگل میں لومڑی گدھے کے قدموں میں گر کر اس سے زندگی کی بھیک مانگنے لگی۔ گدھے نے اسے لات مار کر بھگا دیا۔ جلد ہی پورے جنگل میں ہلچل مچ گئی کہ جنگل میں شیر آ گیا ہے۔ بندر خوف زدہ ہو کر ایک درخت سے دوسرے درخت پر دوڑنے لگے۔ خرگوش اپنے بلوں میں جا کر چھپنے لگے۔ خرگوش: ”کتنے مزے کی بات ہے، اب مجھے انھیں شیر کی طرح دہاڑ کر ڈرا دینا چاہیے۔“ 😄 شیر نے جنگل کی سب سے بڑی پتھری کو دہاڑ کر ہلا دیا۔ جنگل کی سب جانوریں ڈر کے مارے اپنے اپنے گھروں میں چھپ گئیں۔ بندر: ”یار، اب ہمیں کیا کرنا چاہئے؟“ خرگوش: ”ہمیں شیر کو کھیلنا چاہئے!“ بندر: ”کیا؟“ خرگوش: ”ہاں، ہم اسے پتھری کھیل کر دکھائیں گے۔“ بندر: ”تھیک ہے، چلو!“ خرگوش اور بندر نے پتھری کھیل کر شیر کو دکھایا کہ وہ بھی شیر کی طرح دہاڑ سکتے ہیں۔ شیر چونک کر دیکھتا ہے کہ یہ دونوں کھیل رہے ہیں۔ شیر: ”یہ کیا ہے؟“ خرگوش: ”ہمیں بھی شیر کی طرح دہاڑنا آتا ہے۔“ شیر: ”واہ! تم دونوں نے تو میری آنکھوں کی پٹی کھول دی!“ شیر نے خرگوش اور بندر کو اپنے دوست بنایا۔ اب وہ سب مل کر جنگل میں کھیلتے، گانے گاتے اور مذاق کرتے۔

A parent helps them start the fire. “Be safe, boys!” they say. “Yummy! Let’s roast marshmallows!” says Tipene. They laugh as they cook. They sit by the fire. “Tell me a story!” Nikora asks. Tipene begins. The sky gets dark, and stars twinkle above. “Look at all the stars!” says Nikora. They lie on the grass, dreaming about the stars. “What do you see?” asks Tipene.

On the second day of the new year, we host a vegetarian feast to welcome distant relatives, celebrating the joy of family reunion. The decennial Tai Ping Ching Jiao is the highlight of our community—lively parades and bustling temple fairs reflect the rich culture of Lung Yeuk Tau. I especially enjoy strolling along the charming streets of the old and new villages. The rustic blue brick walls, the scattered houses, and the mysterious watchtowers all radiate the unique charm of ancient Chinese villages. Every time I pass by, I listen intently to the stories of the past and present, as if I can feel the wisdom and footprints of my ancestors. People say that Lung Yeuk Tau, just like its name suggests, is full of life and vitality—a place where dragons soar and tigers leap. It carries the historical memories of countless years while thriving with energy, where traditional culture and modern life coexist harmoniously. As a child of this land, I take pride in my heritage and am determined to preserve its unique cultural legacy, ensuring that this magical land endures forever.

Ceyda kapı zilini duydu. Koşarak kapıya gitti ve karşısında Ceren’i gördü. Ceren mutfaktan gelen kokuyu duyunca heyecanla Ceyda’ya döndü ve "Ah, cevizli kek mi yaptın?" dedi. Ceyda gülümseyerek başını salladı. Ceren “O zaman kahveler benden!” dedi ve birlikte mutfağa geçtiler. Ceren cezvenin içine kahveyi ve sütü koydu. İkisi de sütlü şekerli kahve seviyorlardı. Again, she bottles up her emotions and changes. Missing her bus adds to her day's mishaps. At school, her friends ignore her, she forgets her homework, and her hat gets tossed in mud. Each incident fuels her anger. Finally, at home, she explodes when she finds her brother playing her new CD, yelling and throwing it on the floor.

Benjamin kicked a pebble down the sidewalk, bored. The park seemed the same as always: the swings creaked, the slide was hot, and the sandbox held nothing new. Then, a glint of red caught his eye, half-buried in the dirt. It was a tiny toy car, no bigger than his thumb, with faded red paint and chipped wheels. "Huh," Benjamin mumbled, picking it up. It was strangely heavy for its size. He blew off the dirt, revealing the inscription on the side: "Whisper your wish, and off we go!" Benjamin scoffed. Wishes didn't come true, especially not from dusty toy cars. But for a laugh, he held it close and whispered, "I wish I could race to the Great Wall of China!" Suddenly, the car jerked in his hand, growing warm. It glowed an electric red, then with a whoosh, transformed into a sleek, cherry-red sports car! Benjamin blinked. In front of him, the familiar park had vanished.

Once home, he discovers his parents have left him a very large inheritance and he chooses to give all the money to other in need. He secretly puts food and money in peoples homes in need. And in every present he leaves a note signed "Dinei O Theos" meaning "its better to give to others than to receive"
